Summer Dance Classes

We have 3 summer camp date option for kids 3 -18 years old! We are excited to have a something for everyone. Whether you grew up dancing here and are part of our Ballet School, or you are new and want to try out dance and a few different styles, see our different options below.
For our younger kids 3 -11 years old we will have 2 dance classes a day, craft time, and group/ team building/ circle time. Kids 3-6yrs and 7-11yrs will be split into separate group for dance classes. Everyone will come together for craft time and circle/team time. At Mendocino Ballet, we have classical ballet as a foundation for dance, which is why kiddo’s will have 1 ballet class each day. Then their second class will be a mixture of either tap, jazz, modern, or creative movement. Each week will have a different theme, and they will learn about a classical ballet and make fun crafts that they will get to bring home in their decorated folders.
Each dance camp will be 1 week long and have the following schedule and options:
10 am - 2:30 pm - Ages 3 - 11 yrs - $325 (lunch is NOT included, however snacks are)
10 am- 12:15 pm - Mini Camp option for age 3-5 yrs- $150 (If 4.5 hrs is too long for your little one this would be a good option)
Magical Fairyland Dance Camp
June 16 -20th
Welcome to our Magical Fairyland Dance Camp, where we will explore movement in ballet, jazz, creative movement and more in this fun theme! We will also have some ballet/ dance and music related crafts and learning of classical ballet's that relate to each of our weekly themes! And the end of the week on Friday, come to pick up your kids early at 2pm to watch a showcase for the last 30 minutes, of the dances that they learned this week! We will be making fairy houses, which will be super fun for all ages!
Storybook Adventures Dance Camp
June 23 - 27th
Welcome to Storybook Adventure Dance Camp, where we will explore movement in ballet, jazz, creative movement and more in this fun theme! Where You can become a Prince or Princess, make a fun crown and wand craft. We will also have some ballet/ dance and music related crafts as well as learning the classical ballet of Cinderella! And the end of the week on Friday, come to pick up your kids early at 2pm to watch a showcase for the last 30 minutes, of the dances that they learned this week!
Aristocats Musical Dance Camp
July 7 - 11th
Welcome to our Aristocats Musical Dance Camp, where we will explore movement in ballet, jazz, creative movement and more in this fun theme! This is fun one where we get to focus on a musical themed dance, learning about musical instruments, music notes, and how to move differently to them. At the end of the week come early to pick you kiddo up at 2pm wo watch a showcase themed in the Aristocats musical dance show! They will be making cat masks and other fun projects during the week.
