Dress Code

Recreational Classes: Pre-ballet classes: Pink leotards (short skirts are ok), Pink leather ballet slippers and pink tights with feet. No long skirts or tutus.

Children’s Ballet Classes (Recreational Program): Plain colored leotards (no skirts), Pink leather ballet slippers and pink tights with feet. Children 6 years and under in pink leotards. Children over 6, in solid colored leotard.

Ballet/Tap and Tap Classes: Solid colored leotard with pink tights and pink leather ballet slippers. Black tap shoes.

Boys:  White dance (fitted) t-shirt, black shorts, tights or leggings with black or white socks and black ballet shoes.

Lyrical Jazz/Contemporary Dance, and Modern Dance Classes:  Solid colored leotard with footless tights/leggings. Ask teacher if more casual attire is permitted.

Art of Classical Ballet Classes: Boys/Men: White fitted t-shirt, dance belt, black tights with black ballet shoes.

Beginning Levesl I/II: Light blue leotard, pink tights and pink leather ballet slippers. NO skirts.

Apprentice I: Lavender leotard, pink tights and pink leather ballet slippers. (Pink Pre-pointe shoes with permission of Instructor.) Skirts may be worn in pointe class.

Apprentice II:  Dark purple leotards, pink tights and pink leather ballet slippers.  (Pointe shoes with permission of Instructor.) Short matching skirts can be worn in Pre-pointe/pointe class ONLY.

Corps: Black leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers and pointe shoes. Short matching skirts can be worn for Pointe class ONLY.

Company: Black leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers and pointe shoes. Short matching skirts can be worn for Pointe class ONLY.

 More Information: Proper dance warm-ups and sweaters only, can be worn on cold days.  Hair must be in a neat bun, no wispies or bangs, for all ballet classes, including the “Art of Classical Ballet” program. Students in Floor Stretching/Pilates Barre and Contemporary/Jazz/Modern Dance classes can wear hair in a ponytail. Hair needs to be off the face and neck for all classes. If your hair is too short to get into a bun, you can wear a pony tail and/or secure hairband to keep hair off face and neck.
